In 1983 Isabella Rossellini was the first face of Lancome and the reason why I bought Lancome make up and Tresor perfume in the 80s and she’s back; in a new collaboration as a Lancome muse. She says:
“I am overwhelmed with emotion to come back to Lancôme. Our collaboration meant so much to me in my life. Continuing it fills me with immense joy and great expectations. I am also well aware that this decision goes well beyond me: it’s a strong indication of Lancôme’s inclusiveness and celebration of all women.”
Francoise Lehmann of Lancome says this of Isabella:
“Beyond Lancôme’s values, which she represents so magnificently and quintessentially, Isabella embodies the idea of an accomplished beauty that is synonymous with wellbeing. She also maintains a very positive, serene attitude to age, which she experiences as liberating and self-affirming.”
It’s back to the Lancome beauty counter for me…welcome home Isabella; I’ve missed you; thank you for showing us how to age with such grace.
Isabella 1980s and today, as beautiful as ever
